Hello all! I have a friends computer running Windows XP, Gateway and it's cram full of virus'. I have got rid of most of them and finally installed Norton AV 2003, and now when it's booting I'm getting a missing dll that I have no never heard of.

It's sqvnman.dll. Has anyone heard of this one? Thanks!

I haven't seen that one before and can't search up any information on it.

Suggestion - use msconfig and uncheck every thing that wants to run at startup. No internet connection while doing this since the AV and any firewall will be included.

If it boots OK, then add others back one at a time until you find the problem. Then a reinstall of the app should fix things up.

    Or...

Bite the bullet: backup all user data, format & reinstall.

The only 100% sure way to get rid of all virus/trojan/backdoor traces!
