    Hi Group,
I have been involved with computers since the 1960's. My passion is backup/recovery. I am somewhat critical of the community that places the emphasis on Backup and not recovery.
Before implementing any vendors "solution" I attempt to do extensive testing of backup AND RECOVERY! I used one very popular vendor for many years after I was satisfied their recovery was good.

My main disk crashed but I was not worried since I had a very recent full volume backup!!! Needless to say, I was unable to recover to a new EXACT SAME VENDOR DISK!!!! The back and forth with the vendor resulted in a refund of all the money I paid as well as my main system being out of commission for 6 weeks.

I have since switched vendors and am happy (until the next crash)

PLEASE TEST RECOVERY and not just backup. I also suggest (STRONGLY) that you perform backup of your system drive via a stand alone CD.
