Right now I'm booted on my old install of windows and I hate it, too slow (not on a SSD).

Anyways, this has happened before and I just re-installed windows. The BSoD keeps telling me it is creating a dump file; but it is never created; The only difference between my two Windows 7 x64 installs is the service pack, all drivers are the same.

Here is all the info my system gave me on the error:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    STOP CODE: 0x00000050

    0xFFFFF8A00B766000
    0x0000000000000000
    0xFFFFF80002D83079
    0x0000000000000000

This error always starts the same way, once every few days, and increases till it is within 3-5 minutes of booting the system.

I have been searching google to no avail, I am wondering if there is a way to install or inject W7x64SP1 on an offline (not booted) system.

Any help is appreciated, I really don't want to loose all my settings & programs again!

After thought, I have run Memtest86+ threw 10 passes all was fine along with a CPU test and HDD testing all my hardware is perfect.

Some pointers to possiblr causees and resolution here ....

    Bug Check 0x50: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Absolutely not - the PC must be booted up to write to disk :)

Incorrect, the HDD must be mounted to write to disk, as I stated before I was on the same PC on another HDD. It would have been the same method as injecting into a WIM, which you can do for most updates just not the SP.

Anyways I resolved the issue, took many hours because of the BS restarting my PC every few minutes.

I managed to install about 120 updates for windows and all seems to be working fine now, but SP1 keeps failing - not too worried as long as my servers I'm running don't keep dying, it kept corrupting data.
