Hello! This is the first time I have joined anything like this, and I am very excited. My children (of which I have 9) and my grandchildren (of which I have 20) teach me everything I know about the computer, and I must say that I do pretty well . . . but for years, I have typed well, used some of the programs very well . . . and not really gotten into a deeper understanding of how this all works - or how to fix things when they DON'T work. I have been getting some frustrating little error messages from time to time - and have a brand new lap top, which I am loving - and just want to have a deeper, clearer understanding. I am a Registered Nurse and work in an Access Center of UTMB in Galveston, Texas. It is an incredible job - I work 64 hours, get paid for 80, and have every other week off. That allows me time to be Mom, Grandma, wife, ride motorcycles with my sweet husband - (and I drive my OWN - rather than riding on the back of HIS. I also teach violin and piano, do a lot of crocheting, knitting, and actually am a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I have a club in my home once per month where I teach scrapbooking and card making. I have a doberman, two chihuahua's, and a sugar glider. Their names are BluBelle, Vanilla, Phudge, and Merlin. I have not yet named my two fish and my frog . . . though the frog is one eyed, and I think of him as the Pirate . . . my grandson put his fish in my tank so I could baby sit it . . . and it ate my frog's eye, then died. I kind of thought he asked for it . . . but my grandson did not go along with me. Enough rattling from this old lady . . . I look forward to some good conversations and some decent learning.
