    Hi Folks,

Just wanted to post a short message in these crazy times. Stay safe!

Stay home as much as possible, keep your distance from others if you need to go out.

I've been fortunate to be able to work from home since 12th March. We've got 139 cases in Malta, but fortunately no fatalities so far.

    Stay Safe, Stay Strong!

When you are retired this is what we practice on a daily basis. The real problem we have is getting our weekly groceries as the country is in lockdown and they don't want 70+ oldies out in public. My wife has vascular dementia and she seems so far to have adjusted to missing the afternoon drives in the car, but it's early days as this lockdown may last longer than the 4 weeks they have planned. Stay safe and follow the Goverments orders.

No quick trips to Italy for the Arie family:eek:

Lucky me is going to the pharmacy in a few minutes... I love hanging out with sick people.

My pharmacy that doesn't have a drive up window did have a sign in the window that said to call them for curbside service... Course I already had my hand on the door by the time I saw the sign. LOL

Signs are like instructions for putting things together. Read them when all else fails. :p

This situation has made a lot of people hypochondriatic, including myself. I self-isolate as far as is possible and try to read the signs. But what are the signs for me? I had planned to make changes to my medication (hearth disease) but have put that on hold until covid-19 has peaked and diminished. If the planned changes should affect me (I assume they will, temporarily until my body has adapted) I wouldn't know what is affecting me, the changes or covid-19. Everyone have to consider their situation and make necessary changes to STAY SAFE!

I hope the world returns to normal soon. I'm getting tired of cleaning bathrooms and closets. We don't have a large house but my wife found closets that I didn't even know we had.

Nice to see you've joined the group who have a partner who has dementia and has forgotten what housework was.
We may be with this Covid19 for some time unless the Millennials wake up and follow rules and regulations.
Here in NZ, statistics are being gathered and the age group spreading the virus are in the 20 to29 age group!!!
Keep safe and isolate is something we did during the 2nd world war!!
We weren't able to panic buy foodstuffs as they were rationed. We had to stay at home in the evenings and blanket the windows so that light did not show in the dark outside.
Petrol/gasoline was rationed so you couldn't drive around for the fun of it.
Wake up millennials and help stop the spread of this killer disease.

Send her to Florida. It will be all new rooms for her. :p
And tell her to bring her bathing suit. Water was just below 80 in the pool yesterday.

Don't know how I missed this thread earlier, but I hope all of you are doing well too.

Some states are lifting restrictions, including South Carolina, but the old north state hasn't budged yet. That might change soon.

We've just come out of Level 4 back to Level 3 for a couple of weeks to see how the cases either increase or decrease.
Makes no difference when you're a "Golden Oldie" as we have been instructed to stay indoors or only take exercise walks close to home and keep 2 metres away from any other "bubble" of human beings.
We can't even go for a drive in the car unless it is vitally essential (going to the Doctor).
We have to rely on our son to do our weekly grocery shopping!
