In an attempt to reduce the time my Toshiba notebook takes to boot up I'm using msconfig to go through the programs that load at startup. I've unchecked a few that I'm happy to start manually when I need them, and I've investigated those that I didn't recognise. One of these is called TDuPHook.exe. A web search of this seems to produce conflicting results. I've seen it referred to as a Trojan that should be removed, and also as a benign program that should be left as it is. Can anyone clarify what it is and advise if I should also stop it loading on startup?

    Thanks.

    Hello alistair,

I've moved your thread to General Security and added to the title to make it more specific.
