    I bought a motherboard, and when it starts up i get a hewlett packard logo, i don't have a HP so can i get rid of the logo?

    There are any number of offers of programs that will do that. Here are some Google hits.

    IMHO, I wouldn't fool with the BIOS and take any risk whatsoever, for no more than you would gain.
