    Having just loaded an answerphone to my p/c I would now like it to start when windows starts. But there is not an option from within the program.How do I add it to my startup list?
    Also we suffer from power cuts, loss off service, fairly regularly here, but mostly they are only for a few minutes. My problem is that after a power cut my p/c stays turned off waiting for me to hit the start button.
    In Windows 98 my p/c would restart itself after the power came on. How do I initiate this in XP.
    Cheers, Quiz.

    #1 -> Place a shortcut to the program in this folder-> C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

    #2 -> Look in the BIOS for the setting to control what the pc does when there is a power outage.

    Just put a shortcut to the programs executable in \Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Start Menu \ Programs \ Startup.

    Right-click the shortcut, and select Properties. in the Run: drop down, you can select how you want the program (window) to start.
