    Once again some spyware has made it's way inside my computer. I tried to delete using hijackthis but it pops right back in there. Could someone please take a look and advise. Thanks

    Hmmm........looks as though something doesn't want this tool available anymore. :rolleyes: Well, there have been some positive results seen for this hijack with the latest version of CWShredder, so download it, open it and close ALL other windows and click fix. Reboot and run another HJT scan and post the log.

    The link in my signature seems to be working VERY slowly, so try getting it here. Version 1.59.1 While you're there, get the new version of HijackThis too. ;)

    I still can't get the FINDnFIX.exe to download. I've updated cwshredder and used it. It removes it temporarily and then it comes right back. I think it's getting worse. I'm getting so frustrated. I'm half-tempted to reformat. Can anyone help?

    Go up one or two post to either Lonny or Noahdfear and use thier link to Adaware. Download and run. Be sure to update first. With Adaware, after update >Start >select Customize, check mark all you can, then advanced, check mark first 2 under Log File. (maybe already checked) Then proceed. When it's done, select all and fix. Reboot and post a new HijackThis log.
    I'm sure Lonny or Noahdfear will be back to help you from there.

    Looks like CWShredder did the job. :) The only thing that should be fixed is
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Tray Temperature] C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\MiniBug.exe 1
    and that's because it's running from a temp folder, which is rarely a good thing. There are a few optional startups that could be fixed, but nothing bad. After fixing that entry, reboot and empty your temp folder, then the recycle bin.

    I'm looking for an alternative download for FindnFix, because it's possible that there may still be some lingering files from the infection, and it will find them. In the meantime, scan your PC with RAV. Check the box to autoclean. If any files are infected and uncleanable, click the report button then copy and paste it here.

    [*]install "Reglite" (its free)and run it, enter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\AppInit_DLLs into the address bar.
    [*]Double click on AppInit_DLLs to open a "Data Editor" properties window, if the bottom textfield named "Value" contains a .dll file; copy and paste it back here please

    Deleted the 04 - minibug.exe with hijackthis. Rebooted. Emptied Temp folders. Emptied recycle bin. Brought up browser to come back and IT'S BACK...grrrrrrr.
    Downloaded and followed instructions regarding reglite and here is what was in the value field:

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctlj.dll
