I have an expired version of Spyware Doctor installed. I want to upgrade to the new version and have downloaded and installed the trial version.

However, the old registration is still in the registry or somewhere on this computer and I can't find it's location to delete it. Since the old version has expired the current version will not work properly as it keeps saying invalid registration when it trys to do updates and therefore will not d/l and install updates because it automatically puts in the registration information stored from a previous install.

I have googled for hours and read the posts at PC Tools site, I have sent in a support request still I have no answer to where the registration information is stored so that I can delete it. Based on the posts at PC Tools forum this is a very common problem and a lot of people are really ticked that they can't remove the old registration information even to put in newly purchased registration info and they too have not gotten responses from PC Tools support on a removal tool or registry edit to delete the old information.

I ran a search for spyware doctor and deleted all references to it including the folder, I used Registry 1st Aid to scan the registry for entries and deleted all of them. But still the old registration remains. There is no place within SD to enter new registration information, but I want to try the trial version anyway so I don't have any new info to enter. I even scanned for the registration # that the old software was installed with and that didn't work either.

Can someone PLEASE tell me where the registration information is stored for Spyware Doctor so that I can delete it. I have uninstalled/installed I don't know how many times and still end up with the same results of the old registration information being automatically entered into the software. PC Tools has not responded to my support ? and based on the forums they haven't responded to others also. There has to be some way to get rid of this registration entry by either regedit or some kind of removal tool.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
