Since I have been running Firefox 1.0.1, I am getting a lot of cookies picked up by spybot search and destroy. I am clearing them but they are returning. I installed zone alarm. This helped a bit, but how am I to stop them completely, if that is possible. These are all generated by FIREFOX, not coming from somewhere else. I usually keep it as clean as possible with Spybot, AdAware, Antispywhere from MS, Registry cleaner

    Thank you for your help

I don't see more cookies in Firefox, at all. First of all you can set the cookies to be deleted at the end of the session. Secondly, you can install Spyware Blaster , which will enter exception to every cookie you can think of. I had to allow a couple. You should be sure that all cookies are dumped, before proceding.
Only nuisance is that you will have to sign on more frequently.

For $40??? Don't you think that's just a bit exorbitant? It seems to me that Westside has offered a much better alternative... and without cost. Simply configure your FF browser so that all cookies are dumped after each session EXCEPT those you personally mark as "exceptions ". In other words, after going to your favorites and marking those as exceptions (it will take about fifteen minutes), all other cookies will be dumped once a session is over. No need to spend a dime and it's all very clean and tidy. It's worked for me for several months now. :)

Thanks, James. And, that is where you can see the inferiority of Netscape8 beta which is not recognized by Spyware Blaster. I can't understand how expensive programs, can still be sold when better free ones are available.
And, the free programs, usually do not cause other problems.
I am willing to support these free programs.
