Spell checker problem

I tried getting spell checker to work for Mozilla 1.7.2 on a linux but was unable to
get it to work. I downloaded the checker for Mozilla 1.5.9 ( the latest listed) from http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/installation.html. There is a myspell directory in the componets directory along with libmyspell.so libspellchecker.so and spellchecker.xpt
but I can't get it to show up when I try to compose an email. Any ideas?

Here is the download for the Spellchecker:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7.2/linux-xpi/

The version you downloaded wouldn't work with the current Version of Mozilla.
