Speedy

Glad to be aboard, Not use to forums so as a newby please allow me your tollerance. I am 53 years old, I've been working with P.C's since DOS 2.1. Started with an 8088 and upgraded through all versions (after they came into my price range), taught myself basic, some viaual basic,and some c and c++. But that was in my twenty's and thirty's. I became a Master electrician, and a Master Refrigeration Tech, and got too tired to keep up with the advancements of windows technology, and it progressed faster than I kept up. I am running a Dell 2.4 celeron with 1 gig DDR. I am having issues with degraded speed and programs self installing, just recently Firefox insatlled and took over my IE. I'm scared!
