I have two problems that seem to be related. When first connecting to the internet with our dialup account if we get a good connection, 44 kbps or above, everything seems to work fine, all pages load quickly and clicking on or going to another link works fine. When staying on the internet with the same connection for a long (2 to 3 hours) time things really slow down. We do a line speed test to confirm the slow down (we sometimes show a 49.2 connection and the speed test shows a 19.2) and pages sometime come up saying page can not be displayed, but if I click refresh they come up slowly but load only if I click the refresh button. We're looking into the direcway system but I paid my provider for the year and I'm stuck until July. Any help or insight into what's happening is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack

You probably got spyware stealing your bandwidth. Most folks here run Spybot and Adaware to clean their systems of spyware. They both have free versions.
