Specifying different default printers for different programs

If I've got two printers on my network, is it possible to set a certain program to print to one printer and all the others to print to the other?

Here's the situation: The default printer on the network is a laser printer which works well for printing all my documents, but one program needs to print to a receipt printer. It's a slightly annoying to switch printers each time I open the program. If it's possible to set this program only to print to the receipt printer and all other programs to print to the laser please let me know.

It would have to be a feature of the program itself I think. But if it wants to print to a specific device or kind of device, there may well be an option you could set.
