I've been using TB for about 2 months. I had 2 buttons on the tool bar: "Spam" & "Not Spam." Those buttons are gone. Instead there's one button, a flame, for "Junk" but there's no "Junk" folder (nor is there a "Spam" folder). Email marked as [SPAM] is not affected by the "Junk" button. So:
    1. What is "Junk?" How is it different from "Deleted? "
    2. How do I get the "Spam "/ "Not Spam" buttons back?
    3. What do I do about the lack of "Junk" & "Spam" folders?

System Config: HP-Pavilion a6220n, Intel Core Duo E4500 @ 2.20 GHz, 2.00 GB, Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1, 400 GB hard drive, FF 3.0.5, TB 2.0.0.19

I have been using TB since it, first, became available, and I have never seen what you describe. Which toolbar? It may depend on the Theme. My Theme does not allow me to add anything new by selecting View|Toolbars|Customize. As for marking e-mail as Junk, it is a personal setting, while Spam setting depends on the ISP. For instance, in my case, I have a couple of AOL accounts. They are the only ones to have a Spam folder, but there is button to mark them Spam. Typically, if something ends up in the Spam folder, I and I want to keep it, I drag and drop it in the Inbox.
    1. The Junk setting for the account is set up in your Tools|(Mail) Account Settings|account|Junk Settings. As you can see the mail which is marked Junk, will remain in the Junk folder, by default, for 14 days. However, you can select a shorter time. I am so confident that the Junk (Spam) settings of my ISP are correct, that I let Junk mail go directly to the Trash folder. Junk mail is kept there for you to decide if it was correctly labelled, and it is not deleted (i.e. sent to Trash) until the days (14 or whatever) are reached.
    2. As I told you, I never saw Spam/Not Spam, although they may be above each individual message. Check your settings at Tools|Options|Privacy|Junk.
    3. Either Junk or Spam folders should be created when you set up your account. All my Cox mail accounts have Junk folders, although anything which I consider Junk is deleted, via my settings. My AOL accounts come only with Spam folders, and I select to move undesired mail, or drag and drop there.
I have had little reason to use the Junk settings because my system is well trained (see training button in your Options. When the Junk settings first came out, in Netscape and Mozilla, all my mail ended up in the Junk folder, but this does not happen any longer.
