    Hi Folks

Thought id pop back to this forum after getting some good advice last time i was stuck :)

I have played around with the "message rules" setting to attempt to block the ridiculous amounts of SPAM offering me all kinds of drugs.

    In Tools/Message Rules/Mail/Mail Rules

I have set the following :-

Where the subject line contains "vallium soma codine cialls viagra pills sex" OR where the message body contains "vallium soma codine cialls viagra pills sex" delete it.

My question is why on earth am i still getting emails containing the above words in my inbox daily ?

Are the emails "smart" or is it something im doing wrong?. I expected the ones spelt wrong intentionally ( ie valluim, codnie etc ) to get through, but im still getting all sorts in my inbox.

Your advice much appreciated as ever!

    Kind Regards

    Richard Drury UK

One way they beat you is by spelling valium correctly with one L:eek: j/k

I think even the rules are even case sensative. viagra - ViAgrA will sneak past you.

I spend a few minutes every morning using the block sender option. It's an endless task.

    :)

Cheers Steve i didnt realise it was case sensitive. I just dont get why someone sends spam in the first place? Do they rely on sending 5 million spam emails to hopefully recieve 20 orders ?
A lot of my spam emails arent even readable. Some i mistake for genuine emails unfortunately. No doubt opening spam emails sends some message telling the sender that my account is active and the whole thing spirals!?

Thanks for your reply and i`ll adjust my spelling ;)

I don't know which ISP you are with, but on BT Yahoo we have SpamGuard Plus on the server - I get no more than one slice of spam a week coming through - dozens are caught at the server.
