I have a computer running XP Home Edition. I'm a quadriplegic lady and wanted to use my phone apps and transfer music and photos etc between my computer and phone. I bought a sony ericcson xperia x8 and trying to synch to my computer. It would not synch and I cannot access the apps store or music on my phone. Then on the website it says I had to download Media Go, to be able to transfer files from one to another, but then it said it only worked with PC Companion, but after i downloaded that, it told me that it wouldn't work unless I have SP3. According to the microsoft and other sites I went to, I couldn't download sp3 to my computer properly anyway because the edition was too old, and other stuff. What do I do? I am not that good with the intricate stuff with computers, but I feel like I am going around in circles.

I don't have much use of my arms, and I wanted a device to make life easier and more accessible. I cannot afford a new OS or computer, and I need a phone with me at all times for safety reasons. If anyone has some genuine advice, please let me know. Thank you.

    Hi Shaey, welcome aboard.

You can download & install SP3 for all versions of Windows XP.

Hi Shaey, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Windows XP SP3 does work on the Home Edition of Windows XP. Go ahead and download and install Windows XP SP3 from here, Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Let me know if it installs or not.

EDIT: Looks like rsinfo beat me to it. :D
