Hi, I have one computer not on a network, with no web access at all.
I use this computer as a stand alone audio/video editor.
It runs well most of the time.
It has all unnecessary services disabled in order to run as a workstation for audio/video at max speed.
It is running 4 hardisks and a dvd burner ( one hd on firewire)
It has sp1 installed on it.

My question is this, is there anything in the sp2 update that I need for this computer.
Bare in mind my net computers all have latest xp sp2 installed, and as far as I can see it is 90% net security, and I cannot see, to cherry pick what I want to from install disk, it seems like all or nothing.

    Thank you for your time.

There are some performance enhancements in SP2. Most folks (including me) seem to notice a faster PC with fewer glitches. Most.

If the hardware is basically similar to your other boxes so you are comfortable that SP2 won't be causing problems, I'd say go for it.
