    Hi All,
I hope I explain this right. When I right click on anything, the menu (copy, paste, ect.) is really slow to come up, unlike before when it used to be fast. Its almost like its fading, but slower. Anyone else experience this?

    thanks
    Brad

    Hi BladeTurbo...

Under "Visual Effects" there is an option to "Fade or slide menus into view" and "Fade out menu items after clicking ". Deselect/uncheck these and see how your menus work...they should be faster.

    1) Right-click "My Computer "
    2) Select "Advanced" tab and in the "Performance" section click the "Settings" button
    3) In "Performance Options" window select "Visual Effects" tab
    4) Deselect/uncheck "Fade or slide menus into view" and "Fade out menu items after clicking" from the list

If you want to speed up your PC change the "radio button" from "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" to "Adjust for best performance ". This will deselect/uncheck all in list...it will also turn off all the "Bubble Gum" colors. Then start selecting/checking the options in the list you want. Play with these to get the best performance out of XP for your box.
