What can i look at to determine if SP1 was installed during a full re-install
of WinXP? The re-install was done from OEM system cd's, onto a
cleaned and re-formatted HD, and not from an MS WinXP cd.

The system (XP) works but i'm still attempting to determine the
differences of what i saw before and what i see now. In particular, the
folder naming and locations are very different after the re-install.

Kinda disappointed with Gateway2K about this. Of course, my support
expired last month so their no help anymore. I guess the point is this:
when you buy a PC with the OS, drivers, etc already loaded and then you
have to do a re-install, the re-install should put things back as they were
at the initial loadup.......... but it didn't happen that way.

Sorry about the para above, spouting some i guess.

Belarc is a handy tool, but the General tab of System Properties will show you if SP-1 is installed.

    Thanks guys,

ran the belarc program, lots of details there!
I had to e-mail the info to myself to get a printout of it (hope it prints). Nice info to have handy.

Surprisingly, it show a lot of SP2 Hotfixes there also.

Looks like the SP1 is installed ok too.

    thanks,
    savagcl

    clif,
as I understand it, Hotfixes labeled SP2 will be included in SP2.

If it shows Version 2002 it means SP1 is included too.
