Every time I play Left 4 Dead or Crossfire or some other big game like those,(except for the Sims 2 for some reason)I can hear the volume level go down until there is no sound. I go to desktop, open the volume control panel thing and see that the bar is down. Only one bar though. Nothing is on mute, but that one bar is all the way down.

I have no idea what to do. And my dad, who is very experienced in computers, has never even heard of that happening before.

Does anyone have any ideas of what or why this is happening?

    Thanks for your time.

Hi Teshi, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

The first thing I would try would be to update your sound drivers. Download your audio drivers from here. Are you running a desktop or a labtop? If its a desktop make sure that the speakers are plugged in correctly. Also see if you can try another pair of speakers to troubleshoot the issue. Are there any yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager next to any devices?
