    Hello

First off, I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 so these problems might be particular to Dell but I've tried to get some help with them at the Dell forums to no avail. Windows XP I'm running.

Anyway the problem occurs with both Explorer and Firefox. I think it started when I deleted a sound recording program and couple months ago, I'm not sure that it was that but it seems to have started around then.

So the problem is that sound coming from web pages won't work. Sound in mp3s in winamp, itunes, movie files etc works fine. For a perfect example, if anyone is familiar with MySpace, ...people's songs on their pages I cannot hear. It's that kind of thing. That's just an example, it's any kind of embedded sound or music in a page. Any idea how to fix this?

    Any help appreciated, Thanks.

    Sol

    Hello Sol,

Just to make sure a basic setting is enabled:

IE Tools > advanced tab, scroll down to Multi media - is the Play sounds in web pages checked?

    Regards - Charles
