I run a small TeamSpeak server just for me and a few friends. I had my client program running and was in a chat with a buddy. Suddenly I couldn't hear him anymore, but he could still hear me. I checked my Windows sounds and couldn't hear them eventhough my sound was turned up and everything had been fine a moment ago.

I've had problems in the past with the sound getting choppy and poppy if I web surf or do other stuff while talking in TeamSpeak. I have TeamSpeak set to use Wave instead of DirectSound. I have Windows XP Pro, the Sound Blaster Audigy card, use Firefox 0.8 as my browser and have a cable modem if this is relevent.

I tried posting this in their support board and no one answered my post. Jerks!

Well you can certainly get replies here. :) No idea if they will work or not though.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the card? Also, are there any more recent drivers out there than you are using?

If no help there, there is always start~run~sfc /scannow to try since it seems to be a global sound issue.

I'll try the SFC thing in a bit. I don't want to uninstall/reinstall the card because it works fine otherwise. It's a problem with TeamSpeak.

I checked for more recent drivers and a newer version of DirectX. Nothing on both counts.

SFC didn't turn up anything. I guess I'll just have to wait for new drivers or DirectX to come out.

Found out what the problem is. I changed the sound input to Wave from Direct Sound because it'd give me better sound quality. But apprarently my sound card didn't like it. I've changed back and it's clear so far.
