sound card/system restore/no help pages

    i have got an excuse i am blonde! had a problem with the sound on my pc which everyone has been great trying to help me solve but also i did try a few things my self like sytem restore which i know how to do but since having windows xp proffessional i cant seem to do it i go to these options
    start
    programs
    accessories
    system tools

    and then ive been told it should be the system restore options but it isant all thats there is disk clean up??

    as i thought maybe if i restore the pc to when the sound was working normaly it might help and i then notice that i have no windows help on my pc ?

    any suggestions?

    In windows explorer, browse to the windows\system32\restore folder. There should be a file in there name rstrui.exe. That's the system restore program. If it's there, double click on it and see if it opens.
