I have a spread sheet that has 3000 rows which spreads across 5 columns.

I need the data in each row to be in Alphabetical order. How do i do that?

    Thanks

Are the five columns related to each other?? If so, then your out of luck.

Give an idea whats in one row all the way across.

Select the 3000 rows, then Data > Sort > Column A > Ascending > OK

(assuming the item you want alphabetical is in column A)

If you meant that for each row, you wanted the data in columns A, B, C, D and E alphabetical, I would think you would need a macro written

Taking a quick look at Excel 2000 it looks like you can sort 3 columns into alphabetical order doing what WhitPhil suggested.

    Sorting Rows

You can sort a row as follows:

    1. Highlight the row
    2. Data > Sort > Options > Sort left to right > Ok
    3. Select the sort by criteria and click OK.

As for the 3000 rows, I think the macro idea is probably it.
