In NS 7.02 under XP is there a way to change the default view/sort of messages in newsgroups to be date descending?

    Thank you R

I wish to change the default so that it sorts by date | descending. That's what NS 4.xx did. I know that I can change it each and every time, but after a bit it is a bore.

    Hi hoffcs,

That should set your default, and it works for me. However, there is a bug report on the issue: Bug #107280.

    Thanks Ramona.

    Got it to work.

After changing the sort I close down mail. After re-opening mail the sort stays date| descending.

At least this works better than hitting it with my shoe.
