sony vaio wont boot up

Hey, my sister just brought me her sony vaio computer and she said she doesnt

know what happened to it. You press the power button and nothing happens

it has a web button on it if u press it the lights come on and the screen will flash

on for 2 seconds and shut off along with all the lights. I researched a little like if

you unplug and take battery out and hold button down 30 sec and then plug in

with battery still out i can push the power button turns on shows the vaio

screen like its going to start then goes blank with all the lights. Ive taken out

the ram and tried to boot with just one of the sticks still no luck

If anyone has any other tricks i can try would be much appreciated.

i cant find the system spec on the laptop i know its a sony vaio only like 2

months old it has a intel with windows 7
