This seems to be getting worse! Some very common web sites (like Google) will no longer load. All others have no problem. Did basic adware/spyware and virus scans...nothing found. I looked for any blocked Url's...none. She is using XP home with IE7. I loaded Firefox and have the exact same problems! I shut off the firewalls and chose a minimal startup...no help. Any Clues?

It sounds like a DNS resolution problem with her ISP.

Try this for a fix. It's a simple change and can work wonders.

You can also use this to cut directly to the XP instructions:

Thanks, that is a good site. The computer is better "(google now loads), but other sites like any Time Warner cable site (The ISP) still will not load. Any ideas?

That would be an ISP problem so give their customer service department a shot at it.

Everythings fine now. There were several routers connected (like for Vonage) and a complete reboot of all of them did the trick.
