Some pages don't print

This is a problem that is most pronounced in Firefox; but, exists to a lesser degree in IE8 and IE10.

Some web pages don't print. To be clear, I may be viewing a web page I want to print that, when printed, should come out as, say, 10 sheets, comes out as maybe two sheets. Furthermore, the pages will be tagged at the bottom or top as "Page 1 of 2 ".

So, the print driver is seeing only two of the ten pages.

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks for the link; but, that is a little too high-tech and too cumbersome even if I understood it.

In case it matters, this is a years-long problem that has followed IE from versions 6 and up. I don't remember Firefox version numbers I've had this problem with; but, it has been going on for at least seven years.

When I place an on-line order, I save PDFs of every page in the process and Firefox is my preferred browser. Later, I use Acrobat 9 Pro to combine all the pages into one file. I can solve the missing-pages problem frequently (not all the time) by switching to IE for the order. Sometimes IE will print it all and sometimes not but it always prints more pages than Firefox.

It would be nice if I could find an elegant work-around.

The most recent was this morning when I ordered this printer:

    http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/...ookie=yes&sku=C11CA86201&iref=internal_search

I printed the Overview, Specifications and Reviews tabs and none would print completely in Firefox; but, in this case, IE-10 printed all of them completely. IE doesn't always print all of it; but, it always prints more pages than Firefox when there are missing pages printed from Firefox.

Hi Alex. I just tried a print from the Epson web page. HP laptop Model E3A48PA, HP 1000-1333TU Notebook, HP Deskjet 2050 and Firefox Browser.

Interesting, it printed the 1st page - didn't print the 2nd with the specs on it!!!

I'll have a go on IE10 and report back. Neil.

Just opened IE10 and went to the web page in your POST and it printed everything - word/picture perfect! Only 2 pages.

There must be something in the FF setup that is not working right, or there is a "bug" in FF. I'll keep looking in Mozilla Forum to see if there is a fix . Neil.

Yes, that is what I did with same result as you got -- this time; but, Firefox.

Also, there are a lot of sites that have pages IE will not print.

Hi Alex, I've spent quite a time reading through Mozilla Forum complaints about this problem. I tried the suggested code insert and it did not correct or help the printing of more than 1st. page and small end on 3rd. page.
Still didn't show 2nd.page in Print Preview. This has to be a bug in FF to do with page break reading.
One guy wanted to print 10 pages of return info for your IRS, and only got 4 pages printed. He could print the whole set in IE without problem - so he is not a happy camper.
I can only suggest that when wanting to print a web page from FF browser, check in Print Preview first and if all pages are not shown - then go to IE and try that.
You could copy/paste into MS Word and see if that works.
I'm afraid that I've exhausted my ideas on this one and will share the problem with you. Neil.

Try saving the page as File menu > Save Page As > Web page, complete, and then opening that and printing the saved page.

I duplicated the same problem, Neil.

Firefox 23.0.1 will not render the some of the info on print, but no such problem with IE 10.

Interesting! I don't recall seeing this issue before.

I tried that with Firefox, but the printed results were the same. Meaning that some of the page info was missing.

Eureka! :D Opera browser in Windows XP SP3 prints all in one go!!!

I tried Safari and K-Meleon in XP and neither gave the result you wanted Alex.

This gives you IE and Opera as Browsers to use for Print from web. Neil. ;)
