Some document names have turned blue. I'm not sure when this happened, or what was done to my computer before this happened. So I need to know what to do to fix this problem, and what caused it.

Lori - Welcome to the Board :)

No great problem - they are encrypted or compressed files.

Have you run a disk cleanup recently and selected 'Compress old files' ?

If you are that concerned in Windows Explorer go to Tools > Folder Options > View and scroll down to 'Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in colour' and uncheck .

If you have Show hidden files and folders enabled in the same View menu you will see a whole host of blue files in the Windows folder - these are the uninstall files for Windows patches from Windows Update.
