I wanted to add this to the previous thread, but it has been closed.

Thought I would place one final posting to this thread. After several months of testing, here is my conclusion: This "problem" is caused by the checkbox "Windows Address Book (Outlook Express)" and is "fixed" as follows:
    • Under "Email" box, click "Client Integration" button.
    • Under "Select the address book(s) from which you want Norton AntiSpam to import addresses "
o uncheck "Windows Address Book (Outlook Express)â€

    Testing results:
Norton Internet Security "“ Norton AntiSpam "“ Click "Configure" button

    8/13/2005
    • Under "Email" box, click "Client Integration" button.
    • Under "Select the email clients with which you want Norton AntiSpam to integrateâ€
    o Uncheck "Outlook Expressâ€
    • 8/15/2005: Identity Login screen is open, sitting on the desktop

    8/16/2005
    • Under "Email" box, click "Client Integration" button.
    • Under "Select the address book(s) from which you want Norton AntiSpam to import addresses "
o uncheck "Windows Address Book (Outlook Express)â€
o Note: "Outlook Contacts List" is already unchecked
    8/26/2005
    • NO Identity Login screen popup in 10 days!!
o recheck checkbox for "Windows Address Book (Outlook Express)â€
    8/27/2005
    • Identity Login screen found on desktop
    • 8/28/2005: Identity Login screen found on desktop
    • 8/29/2005: Identity Login screen found on desktop
    8/29/2005
    • Under "Email" box, click "Client Integration" button.
    • Under "Select the address book(s) from which you want Norton AntiSpam to import addresses "
o uncheck "Windows Address Book (Outlook Express)â€

Good piece of detective work - thanks for sharing :)

Norton has a lot to answer for at times - my PC's have recently been declared a 'Norton-free zone' :D
