    Back up of my computer fails with error 0x8078006B and 0x80042308. Is there on line help to find detailed information refering to above errors.

    What are trying to backup to? (Brand and model number, internal or external, etc.)

    Hard drive is 1.8Tb capacity, FreeAgent GoFlex. External drive. Drive indicator blue line displays 2/3 of the indicator then informs that the backup was unsuccessfull. Adjusting and applying Backup and Volume Shadow Copy, in Services, to enable start at each computer power up. Services, advise that each must be started, otherwise Windows 7 Backups would be unable to initiate.

    It is confusing as you have now multiple threads for the same problem.

    If my system was in such a state I would "Nuke & Pave "... i.e. do a clean install.
