    Hi,

I have "sewing" software on my desktop and my laptop. The software has several "modules" and I work back and forth. I do have to leave some modules open when working with them. Recently the software has started to freeze or takes awhile to do a command. I use this software for creating educational videos using Camtasia Studio.

I have the same software on my laptop but that doesn't get used as much.

Now, I do have a program called Registry Fix and opened it and it did a scan and scared the heck out of me with over 1,000 files that need fixed. I may have posted this part before. Anyway, I did take my desktop computer up to my computer store that made the computer for me and asked them to do the Registry thing and they said they didn't like to mess with the registry.

I would like to know if it is okay for me to do this registry fix and see if that helps with the problem.

I recently had some problems with software and uninstalled it and did a Restore back to December and the software programs worked except one of the programs that I had upgraded (free) for my video camera wouldn't let me update again because I got the message that it was already there, so I think the Registry Fix might fix this too.

I have ESET antivirus and security software on my computer. No other security software because my computer guy said I didn't really need anything else. Would like to get more that would not conflict with my ESET.

    Thank you.

The registry has a couple million entries in it..Removing/fixing a 1000 probably won't make much of a difference. Removing ONE entry too many could turn your pc into a boat anchor....
