Okay- I finally fried my processor- so I had a HUGE new one put in- and I told the man what I normally DO with my computer- I said it was always telling me that I was out of memory.... so he gave me 480MB of RAM.

BUT now I STILL keep getting the Out of Memory issue!!! My old computer only had 128- HOW can I keep running out of memory with the 480????

This is what I do on my computer- surf- usually two screens up, download music, I have cookie pal, a firewall, norton, mailwasher, a popup killer all running too. And sometimes I will also try to use Yahoo messenger too. I puy in an old version of that messenger so as not to have the stupid bloated newest one in... I also would love to be listening to mp3's with WinAMp, but it seems to not be able to do anymore than the afore mentioned tasks.

IS their ANYTHING I can do??? Is XP so much better at handling all these thing we do nowadays with the computer? Would I be better off totally re-formatting my hard drive with XP??? Oh- the year before my processor fried- I put in a new hard drive, a big one, the 120 size one. The computer guy who put in the processor said it was a good one.

    THANKS
