My IE is 6.026 and has the latest security patch and all that. Any link on my e-mail in Outlook express defaults to it instead of my usual Netscape. And the IE connects extremely slowly.

    1) Is there anyway I can default to Netscape instead of to IE? (My default browser is Netscape.)

    2) Is there anyway I can make the links work faster if I have to use IE? I looked into the Options. I didn't see anything there I could change. The security is medium.

I would appreciate some help on this.

Instructions to set your default browser:

As far as links "working faster," I'm not sure I understand the problem. Generally, the speed with which pages load depends on net congestion, the type of internet connection you have, the speed (or lack thereof) of your system and probably a few other factors which escape me at the moment.

Thanks for your reply. I checked in the Internet Options--Netscape is my default browser. But then how come I get IE when I click on an message link?

When I click on a link there is a pause and then there is a message saying "You are working offline now, would you like to work online?" Then press "yes ", and then there is some more delay (about 20 seconds or more) before I get the link page.
