In Windows you can move the cursor with the mouse and keyboard but you can also move through menu items in Explorer and other applications using the arrow keys. Sometimes an item may be selected in this way but it cannot be acted upon with context menu functions until the cursor is moved to the item. In other words, I can highlight a file in Explorer using the arrow keys and even open it by pressing the Enter key, but I cannot delete or rename that file until I move the cursor to it. So is there any way to snap the cursor to an item that has been selected? This would be a handy function to have but I can't see a way to do it.

Does the Pointer Options Snap to do the job you want?
Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Snap to in W10. Neil.

I wish it did. It seems pretty useless on my computers. In any case, this is something else.
