smooth scrolling

    I just had to reinstall xp and lost my scrolling, of course.

    The answers I found on search here did not help. My web pages scroll up or down in pulses of approx. 1/8 screen, not smooth at all. The settings I found for smooth scrolling are all set for SMOOTH SCROLLING. both in IE, Firefox, Control Panel and everywhere else I could find,But it is not doing that at all.:eek:

    Hi tenbob. In IE and firefox you have to disable smooth scrolling in order for the scrolling to become smoother. It sounds a bit deceptive but I have noticed when I have disabled smooth scrolling in IE, scrolling in webpages becomes a lot smoother.

    Did you install the chipset and video card drivers after you reinstalled Windows? Bad or improper video card drivers can cause scrolling issues...
