    Hi guys,
With my recent overheating issues with my computer, I came to notice a small switch on the front of the case, labeled as such:

    3 - 2 -1
    o
    L M H

(The little 'o' is my switch)
Naturally I assume L M H stand for Low, Medium, High respectively. Any ideas what function this switch may perform?

I don't know for sure but until somebody comes along and tells me I'm nuts, could it be fan speed maybe?

Hey yeah, I didn't even think of that!
I'll click it up a notch tonight and see if the RPM's increase. Hopefully it doesn't open a para-dimensional portal or anything silly like that... :p

    snape,

No para-dimensional portal but if you put it on H, a black hole
will appear with enough gravitational force to pull you, your PC
and everything else in the room into it. As the black hole
rev's up to full speed, it will pull everything in our world into it.
Then we will all reside in the warp world of chaos, at least
    according to the Warhammer books.

So go ahead, its worth a try!

Sorry, couldnt resist a little humor after reading your
    para-dimensional comment. :) :) :)

Cant think of anything else it could be except the fan speed
altho i've never heard of a manual outside switch for fans.
