    Hello all

Heres my problem (computer one that is).

I have a home built tower that I use all the time. Its stable running Win-XP Home. I use a crossover cable to share files and a cable modem connection with my laptop, also running stable with Win-XP Home.

I ran this for about a week fine, shared files accessed the Net etc. Then it stopped. No sharing, no access. As I was just finishing a long beta test I did a reformat all around, but have not been able to get back to the wonderful world of ICS etc.

Does anyone have a good site or tutorial on troubleshooting small netowrks?? or crossover cables in particular??

Its not that I need to do this, it is more that I NEED to be able to do it. I hate failing at the silly stuff. :)

    Thanks in advance guys/gals!

    Wow I feel stupid

OK, it was not a cableing issue,r protocal issue...

It was a *&%$% driver issue!!!!

I had updated the drivers, and got the linksys driver for my NIC, and it was bad.

I went with a generic Windows XP version, and all is well.

    :)

    Thanks again!!
