SMALL(!!!)desktop inside much larger LCD panel

    I purchased a SONY notebook which came with XP Home.I partitioned the drive using Partition Magic and after hiding the XP,installed 95 OK but...the 95 desktop appears as about 6x5 inches surrounded by black inside a total
    LCD display area of abt 13 x8.

    What causes this SMALL desktop.(I also tried install of W2K and same thing happened)!!!

    Is it possible that when I first ran Partition Magic and viewed the SONY as sold that I did not select the proper drive to partition;I mean could I in a sense be running 95(or W2k)as a shell?

    Any thoughts folks?
