    Hi

Have an SBS 2000 server, it has two processors, 1 gig
    of ram.

It is running SQL server, Symantec antivirus 8.0, exchange SBS edition and normal other server functions.

We are getting a warning in the Administrator console for
a high number of page faults/sec. On average about 500
    and higher.

I checked the tech database on the Windows support page and found the note about the file on the C: drive. But that file sqlctr60.dll is not on the C: drive.

Does anyone know why the paging faults are high and what
    may be causing it.

    Thanks in advance.

Could be something as simple as a bad pagefile. If you have more than one partition, try putting the entire pagefile on a different partition. Leave 2Mb of pagefile on the system partition but the bulk should be placed on another one. Then before you do the required reboot, from a cmd window do chkdsk x: /r where "x" means all your drives. Since the /r switch makes the chkdsk do a surface scan, it can take a while but well worth the wait.

Have you checked the normal system event logs for other errors that SQL won't notice?
