    OK here`s the deal!
I have recently bought a new computer, and have had some problems withit going slow. Sometimes it can take almost 10 minutes for me to be able to check my messages. I took it back to the shop and they said that it must be something to do with the disk from NTL, even though it worked fine on my old computer.
So I asked for a more recent disk and the same thing happens.
Everthing connects fine etc and seems to be running quick enough, but then after about 3 or 4 days it slows right down again. I have installed the connection without the disc, but the same thing happens. Please can someone help me!!!

    Steve,

Try clearing out your Temporary Internet Files and maybe giving them more disk space.

In IE > Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files > Delete/Settings

and go to the Advanced tab, scroll down to Security and tick 'Empty Temp Internet files ........'

See if you have the Q811493 update installed (Add/Remove Programs). This update has given a lot of folk grief - slowing up the PC, etc. Remove it. For posts on this do a search for Q811493
