Hello mzlisatx and welcome to the Board,

Follow the links to lookup what's running:
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=39425

    HJT instructions:
    Please download HijackThis!
    SetUp from http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/HJTsetup.exe
Save the file to your desktop.

Double-click the HijackThis! SetUp icon to begin the installation.

Follow the prompts for the default install location of:'C:\Program Files\HijackThis'.
Tick the 'Create a desktop' button when the option appears.
Select next, then allow HijackThis! to start.

    Then press the [Scan] button.
You will notice the [Scan] button will turn into a [Save Log] button.
Click the [Save Log] button and notepad will open up with the contents of the scan.
Right-click in the saved log, and select 'copy'.

Then proceed to your original thread, unless otherwise instructed and click the '[Reply]' button and paste the saved contents to be reviewed.

Do not make any modifications to the log or perform any 'fixes' until told to do so.

    Regards - Charles

Kill that Free Ram program for a test. Those things are famous for degrading performance.

Please read this thread for insight.

What are you using for an AV program? I didn't notice anything running in residence. Have you scanned the drive for malwares lately? There are several free online site that are excellent. Check the Security forum section here for links.

Yes, I suggest you now go to Housecall/Trendmicro's site and run the free on-line virus scan that they offer. Allow it to remove anything found.

Then get AVG7.5 which is a free anti virus program. The download is 16 megs so be prepared to wait. Then you must immediately update it. The first update is around 6 megs so it also takes quite a while. AVG will give you a decent level of protection from virus but does little for Adware and spyware.

For the latter two items, go back to the AVG site and download their newly offered anti spyware program. I have not tried it yet so we can test it together. :)

If you are still having speed or other problems, you will need to post up your symptoms in the Security Forum here under the section for spyware and virus removal. They will direct you from there to likely post up a new HiJackThis log for review. Then they will assist you in removing anything untoward that may be found.

After all that is cleared up, run an error check on your drive and also check if you need to defragment it. You should be good to go at that point.
