    Hi,
For my work I use a peer-to-peer network consisting of 5 pc’s - 3 using ME (including server), and 2 using XP. I organize the job folders on the server so that the they are located within a partition of the hard drive. The partition currently consist of about 90 folders. Viewing these folders on the ME machines is virtually instant. However, on both the Xp machines, viewing these folders takes anywhere form 10 secs to 5 mins (serious!) "“ its as if the server hangs while the folders are being populated.

Once the 60 folders have been populated, and you navigate inside one of the folders the xp machines have no problems.

I’ve tried everything, all pc’s are fully service packed etc…

This is driving me mad…any ideas on how the stop the xp machines lag?

    Thanks

    James
