I hope someone can help with this.

Win2k Pro boots very slowly for me. I'm not sure how to fix this. During the second phase of loading windows (with the win2k logo and the blue progress bar), it will immediatly jump to half way finished (the bar) and hang there for minutes at a time. This is beginning to be very annoying. It will always eventually load, but it takes forever.

In case any of this info helps:
I'm using an AMD 1.4ghz tbird with 512MB DDR RAM and 2 different hard drives. windows is installed on the first (obviously) which is an IBM 60GXP 60GB 7200RPM drive partitioned into 4 parts (10/10/10/30) with windows on the first partition. I use a Turtle beach Santa Cruz sound card, and a 3dpower morpheus geforce3 vid card. The only things that I know of that load on startup are a small video tweak utility (nvmax), AIM, my logitech mouse and keyboard utilities, my sound cards control panel, and 3COM NIC doctor (I have an Etherlink 10/100 PCI 3C905C-TX NIC).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Also, just a minor qualm, but it's bugging me. I can't seem to get auto-run to work anymore with my cd-rom drives (Pioneer DVD-105S drive and a Plextor 16/10/40A CD-R(W) drive). Any suggestions?

    Thanks a lot again people.
