Slow Printing from HP Deskjet 5650

    When I first got this printer, it printed fairly quickly. Now it is very inconsistent, with the speed varying from average to very slow. Any suggestions on how I can speed it back up again?

    Does this happen with color docs or b&w or both?

    It will slowly print a few lines then rest for about 20 seconds and then print a little more.

    I fixed the problem by uninstalling the port and then allowing it to reinstall itself.
