I'm using Win 7 Pro RTM (we're a volume customer) and I'm getting terrible response times in IE. To launch it it takes between 12 and 15 seconds and each time you open a new tab (even to a blank page) it's the same. Once the tab is open there's no issue. I've tried with both proxy servers we're using and also with no proxy just on internal sites. I've got no speed issues with Firefox 3.5 (other than the fact I don't like it...) Any ideas?

    Try reregistering a dll:

Click the Windows Orb (Start) > Run (if the Run command is not there, go to All Programs > Accessories and then click Run), type regsvr32 actxprxy.dll (note the space) and press Enter.

Great - thanks for the hint, it was Java Plugin 2 - SSV Helper. Hope this helps others.
