Though I have a fast DSL connection but it takes ages for any page to open on IE...
I am using IE 6.0.2900...my system details are as follows:

    Windows XP Professional
    Version 2002 Service Pack 2
    processor 1.6Ghz
    590Mhz 520 MB Ram...

Any idea why the response is SOOO slow??

Has it been this way for the last few years or did it just recently start to seem slow?

Have you tried Firefox to compare speeds - if Firefox is OK then we know that it is a problem with IE.

Hi Andy. If I find that IE is slow you can try going to http://enhanceie.com/ie/tweaks.asp Once you get there scroll down to speed tweaks and click Increase the connection limit. Download it and when it asks you if you want to add this information to the registry then click yes. After thats done restart Intnet Explorer to see the effect. Also try deleting all of your Temporary Internet Files. Let me know if IE is faster. :)
