slow browsing

    sometimes internet explorer is sooooo slow, i have shut down but not logged off, and its still slow, also some pictures come up not activated, and some pages take up to a minute to load with Page cannot be displayed ".... so much for the speed of adsl?

    should i just logoff and logon for a better connection?

    You could try cleaning the temporary internet folder to see if that helps but from your post it sounds like the website you are on may be very busy with a lot of users or possibly they are having problems on the server it is running off of.

    I don't know if this will work wherever you are. But where I am, the ADSL service provider has a support service, that allows me to check the speed of uploading and - as in your case - downloading data. He/she sends me a very large file, and in the meantime checks the speed of downloading in my box. And it can be done for an upload, too.

    So, my suggestion is you call him/her, and ask for a checkup.
